How Gaviscon Advance Works
Unlike traditional antacids that work primarily by neutralising stomach acid, Gaviscon Advance forms a strong protective raft on top of the stomach contents. This barrier helps prevent acid from travelling back into the oesophagus, providing effective relief from the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux, including heartburn and acid regurgitation.
Directions for Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Chew 1–2 tablets thoroughly after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Hi there, I placed the order on March 5th, 2026 and I got all 6 Gaviscon Advance Bottles of 60 Mint Chewable Tablets each, delivered on March 17, 2026 at my address in Berkeley, California. It was pretty good and all the bottles have a very reasonable expiration date October 10, 2027. This Gaviscon in advance works fine for me. I have to get the advance from overseas because what they sell in United States destroys your kidneys. They put chemicals in it to kill you like most medicines in the United States to treat one problem. They’ll kill you with another problem worse than the one you’re treating.

This formulation of Gaviscon was recommended by an otolaryngologist for laryngopharyngeal reflux and it’s the only thing that helps the chronic coughing and throat clearing. Let’s hope I’m able to keep purchasing it (I don’t live in Canada) and it continues to be effective. I do have to admit that it’s chalky and sticky but if it keeps working I will keep taking it.

I bought the mint flavour and the taste is subtle but minty. The product works SO well. I usually only need one before bed to stave off and reflux.

I ordered this product whilst living in the United States. Shipping was prompt and the product arrived in good condition. I chose the tablet form and was pleased with the mild mint taste. Apart from a mild and transient sense of bloating immediately after ingesting the medication I had no side effects and it seems the product performs as advertised, with a reduction in reflux symptoms.

Does the job but if you chew the tablets they become globby and difficult to chew and swallow. Works best to suck on the tablets
I like the Gaviscon chewable tablets overall. However, the liquid version would have been better. When I chew them, a lot of the tablet gets stuck between my teeth, and I have a hard time swallowing it in time so it can be active. The tablets are there to create a barrier to stop acid reflux from coming up. I still have 300 tablets, but I should have gotten the liquid. A bit frustrating, and I hope you will perhaps recommend the liquid or explain the difference.
Since this product is only made in the UK I was having trouble reordering without paying a fortune for the product and shipping. I didn’t trust the vendors on Amazon so I felt stuck until I found you. Price was acceptable as well as shipping. Priced in US dollars so I could quickly evaluate what I was paying.
